Uncanny Anatomy

$6.15 / Sold Out

Uncanny Anatomy is the first collection of vignettes from my writing blog relative-pronoun. It contains twenty vignettes (three of which have not been previously posted and were written specifically for this project) on the theme of strangely familiar/defamiliarized bodies. The images are from the public domain, and include illustrations from Andreas Vesalius’ De humani corporis fabrica libri septem (1543) and Fortunio Liceti’s De Monstris (1665). I bind the booklets myself with a needle and thread and I prick myself a lot while doing this.
